Hi Nadja,
I have conjugated a few REA antibodies with X8/DN3, but I have not tried MCP9 conjugation with REA antibodies. However, since the actual conjugation chemistry is the same (TCEP-reduced antibody, maleimide-terminated polymer), they should work the same.
Have you tried REA+MCP9 and had problems?
I will say: like several other users, I have generally experienced slightly lower recovery with MCP9 (often 60%, based on Nanodrop A280) than with X8 (usually 70-80%). See discussion here:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=880&p=7352- BTW, looks like Adeeb's 2019 post had a CD298 REA clone conjugation with MCP9.
