Miltenyi supplying CyTOF-ready antibodies

Hi all,

Miltenyi just announced antibodies that are ready for CyTOF-conjugation:

http://www.miltenyibiotec.com/en/produc ... 21773.aspx

http://www.miltenyibiotec.com/~/media/F ... 0_web.ashx

"Provided in a ready-to-conjugate format

Available in aqueous buffer without any protein stabilizer

Offered in conjugation-optimized concentration of 1.0 mg/mL"

So, I would assume these are similar to Biolegend's MaxPar-Ready antibodies.

Re: Miltenyi supplying CyTOF-ready antibodies

Hi Mike,

One minor difference between the Miltenyi antibodies and the Biolegend antibodies is that Biolegend's newest "MaxPar ready" ones come in W buffer so supposedly you can dispense with the buffer exchange and mix them directly with the TCEP (though I admit I have never actually tried this), whereas the Miltenyi ones are just in PBS.

Hi Adeeb,

Thanks for checking into that and commenting.

Checking an example data sheet: http://www.miltenyibiotec.com/en/produc ... man-1.aspx

PBS is listed, rather than W buffer. So, unlike Biolegend's, Miltenyi's really aren't quite "Provided in a ready-to-conjugate format"......

Re: Miltenyi supplying CyTOF-ready antibodies

Hi Mike/Adeeb,
As you point out, there are differences in formulation between Miltenyi’s MACS® Antibodies for Mass Cytometry and BioLegend’s Maxpar® Ready antibodies, and these are expected to affect how “ready-to-conjugate” they are. BioLegend worked closely with DVS Sciences to validate their proprietary formulation (not W buffer) that makes their antibodies compatible with metal labeling. We do not have knowledge of or experience with Miltenyi’s Mass Cytometry antibodies yet.

Hi Mike/Adeeb,

We use Miltenyi's antibodies in PBS since last year and did not have noticed any recovery problems with metal labeling.

Re: Miltenyi supplying CyTOF-ready antibodies

Hi All,

Same for us, we have had very good experience with Miltenyi's antibody for mass cytometry.
Good pricing, fast production, nothing to refrain you using them.
