Polyclonal antibody conjugation

Hello everyone. I have trouble finding a DIO2 antibody for my panel and I was wondering whether anyone has experience with conjugating polyclonals. I found an old post but hoping that more people may have tried it now. I am unsure what I should pay attention to.

Hi Danai,

Polyclonals conjugate just like anything else....there's nothing stopping the chemistry. In fact, Fluidigm/SBio even sells a couple in their product line, like IgA/Product Number 3148007B.

The formal disadvantage with a polyclonal product is that it's made of more than one antibody, with varying properties and varying specificities (precise target epitopes, etc). And, will potentially vary more lot to lot than a monoclonal prep.

But there's no reason not to at least give it a try.
