Palladium for Barcodes

Hi,

I am trying to buy new Palladium to be used as barcodes. However, I was told that there are 2 versions (Nitrate vs Metal). Which should I buy?
Do I just resuspend the powder and use it directly as barcodes?

Many Thanks in Advance

Re: Palladium for Barcodes

Hi Tan,

There have been some previous discussions about metal isotopes and which form you want to buy. For example, here's a thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3&p=2681&hilit=nitrate+salt#p2681

In short: you want the nitrate salt for Palladium. Technically, you could get the metal and dissolve it yourself, but that wouldn't be worth the trouble.
