Maxpar antibodies stored at -20 for one hour

Hi all,

did you already encounter the problem that your maxpar antibodies were stored at -20°C instead of the fridge?
Unluckily, this is what happened to me recently and the company cannot guarantee proper functionality anymore.
Does anyone have an experience with this issue?
I would be thankful for some input.

Best,
Melissa

Re: Maxpar antibodies stored at -20 for one hour

Hi Melissa,

It's worth giving them a test before throwing them out.

In the frozen antibody cocktail paper (PMID: 31058420), -20C wasn't as good as -80C, but was still better than 4C, and still had decent separation (see Fig 1A).

So, just an hour at -20C probably didn't destroy them.
