Metals in MACS beads

Hi everyone

We ran some cells after positive selection my MACS beads. I think there has been a little discussion about any contaminating metals in them, so here's our screenshot of Ir labelled, CD45 (mouse) MACS bead selected cells.
After a check to see if anything was coming through in our channels of interest, I ran with all channels open for a few minutes

Contaminating metals look to be in 88Strontium (& a little in 87), 138Barium (with a little in the other Ba channels) and a small amount of 209, Lead.
I guess these are impurities within the MACS beads, as they do line up with the Ir labelled cells

Hope this is helpful to the next person looking at MACS bead samples
