It is fine to promote your company's reagents. Just make sure they are relevant to CyTOF, and do so in moderation and style :-)

181-Tantalum Conjugation

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well.

Just wondered if anyone tried conjugating antibodies to this metal - the Tantalum-181. You can buy it from Sigma in the (V) Chloride format -> https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/su ... &region=GB, at a really good purity as well. Just not too sure if (V) Chloride metals will conjugate to antibodies - or if the actual metal is dangerous, etc.

Any information will be much appreciated!!

Re: 181-Tantalum Conjugation

Hello,

For the last few weeks, I've been concentrating on the research based on Platinum-conjugated Antibodies for Application in Mass Cytometry (studying aspects in mass cytometry). We are planning to start working with Chloride metals (Platinum(IV) chloride and Tantalum(V) chloride) in December (the first laboratory group meeting is scheduled on December 15). In case I have some valid information, I can update you, if you are still interested.

I will be very interested if you have some positive results with this Isotope conjugation !
Would you precize with which polymer you are tempting it ?

Hi Jahangir,

We recently developed a tantalum oxide NP based mass tag for MC applications. See attached link: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.analchem.9b04970
