Pre-conditioning Cisplatin

This is a follow up from the thread on "Getting monoisotopic cisplatin Pt195 and 196" viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1077&view=unread#unread

Can the 48hr at 37C cisplatin pre-conditioning step be performed upon receiving the vial from fluidigm and then aliquotted? Having to do it 48hr before every staining experiment could sometimes be inconvenient eg if staining on a Mon/Tue precondition would be on Sat/Sun.

Hi Naeem,

From the Hartmann et al paper:
"Viability staining

Cisplatin (Sigma) was resuspended to 100mM in DMSO, pre-conditioned for 48 h at 37°C and stored at −20°C."

Therefore, unless Felix chimes in differently, I have to assume the cisplatin was conditioned *once*, upon dissolving, and then the conditioned cisplatin solution was stored at -20C for future use.
