ApiBufferOverflow error

Anybody familiar with the ApiBufferOverflow error? When it occurs during measurement, acquisition is automatically stopped, even halfway a loop, while injection continues. The error message does not appear in a popup window, but in the log of the acquisition window, see picture. An FCS file is however created, so the data from before the error is not lost. Any ideas how to solve/prevent this problem? Thank you.

I am using a CyTOF2 and software version 6.0.626.

Re: ApiBufferOverflow error

I've been told this means you have run out of memory/space on your computer. It happened to me when I was saving all the IMDs from a long run and it took up more space than I had on my hard drive.

Re: ApiBufferOverflow error

I am not so sure of that, because it happens both at the start of a measurement, when not many events have been acquired yet, and after a lot of loops.

I also still have more than 200 GB free on both the C drive and the E drive where I store my data. RAM is 8 GB.

Or could it happen when too many events per second are acquired?
