I was looking through a recent newsletter from Glass Expansion describing a new sample introduction system for conventional ICP systems. Interestingly, they describe the same dilution phenomenon that we've been discussing in this thread and their new system specifically includes a bubble injector to introduce a bubble between samples to mitigate the effect.

Interesting.

I'm a bit puzzled by this statement on that page: "Because the bubbles are injected at a programmed time they are never introduced into your nebulizer, thus avoiding any plasma disturbances."

I think the video discusses it around the 01:40 mark. If I understand it, they have a (waste?) valve that cuts in at the end of your sample, before the bubbles, to send the bubbles off rather than continuing on into the nebulizer?
