IMD to FCS

Hi all,

Anyone knows how to recover a IMD file without the "header" and convert it into a FCS file? The computer ran out of disk space when I acquired the samples and therefore might generate a damaged IMD file..Is there any way that I can recover it?

Cheers,

Young

Hi Young, Please contact Fluidigm tech support with your imd file and experimental template.
Thanks

Hi Anita,

Is this the general plan for users when they have a "damaged" IMD file?

From what I understand, this can happen when you run out of disk space (like Young did), or when there's a fault/unplanned end during acquisition in autosampler mode (clog blowing out plasma and shutting down the machine, etc)

Are there other instances users should be aware of?

I would love to revive this old post.
Does any one has any clue as to what to do about this?

Hi Mayan,

What specifically is the issue in your case? Did the IMD still record someplace?

Hi Mayan,

Does this help?

It is an old document (2017), not sure if the process has changed since then with the newer software versions. Maybe someone has a newer version if it has?
