Removing unconjugated antibodies

Hi all,
Is there a way to use Maxpar Conjugation Kit to remove unconjugated antibodies? Maybe using magnetic beads for separation or some other way?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Removing unconjugated antibodies

Hi Bar,

In the past we've analyzed our conjugations on a HPLC and if it might be an alternative to the filter washes. During the conjugation there is an excess of metal+polymer molecules in comparison to the Abs, so every Ab ought to be occupied.

On the HPLC we never saw a peak indicating unbound Ab, only unbound polymer. A very sensitive HPLC column might be able to differentiate between 150kd and ~200kd (Ab+1-2polymers) but I wouldn't count on it.

Cheers,
Jan
